Wines: Numerous national and International awards. Deetlefs Estate was awarded the SAA Chief Executive Officer Trophy for the best winery in South Africa with the most listings in 2006/7. Wines were blind-tasted by 12 SA and international wine experts. Only 7% of over 1200 wines were awarded. Deetlefs was also runner up for the SAA Chairman's Wine Award for the largest volume purchased by the airline.
At the recent Swiss International Air Lines Wine Awards the coveted Top Pinotage Trophy went to gold medal winner Deetlefs Estate Oak Matured Pinotage 2005 (only two gold medals in this category).
The Deetlefs Estate Weisser Riesling 2006 was named as one of only 2 South African Rieslings to ever be listed in the Top Ten Rieslings at the Canberra International Riesling Challenge 2007.
