The purpose of this competition is to develop the profile, quality and innovation in winemaking of Riesling wine styles and promote them to the world. A total of 486 Rieslings were entered from 6 different countries. 

 

The Deetlefs Estate Weisser Riesling is annually one of our blockbuster sellers and Wine of the Month has awarded it Best Riesling status in 2006 and 2007. 

 

With a residual sugar of 20g/l the wine has a lively floral and spicy aroma with a smooth palate and a touch of sweetness - the perfect accompaniment to almost any meal.   This wine was made for food and is extremely versatile, going well with anything from spicy Indian and Thai curries, Lobster, creamy pastas and pizza.
